PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN ZAT PENGATUR TUMBUH (ZPT) PADA INDUKSI KALUS RUMPUT LAUT (Gracilaria verrucosa)
Gracilaria verrucosa is one type of seaweed that has a high market demand but there are obstacles in the cultivation process so that tissue culture is needed for these problems. The purpose of this study was to analyze the efficiency of ZPT formulation, calculate the percentage of callus formation, and analyze the callus structure of G. verrucosa. This research was conducted in September-December 2023 using experimental and descriptive methods. The concentration of growth regulators used were A (no ZPT), B (BAP 1 mg/l + IAA 3 mg/l), C (BAP 1 mg/l + NAA 3 mg/l), D (NAA 0.75 mg/l). The results showed that the ZPT formulation is efficient when viewed from the results of the BNT test treatment B (BAP 1.0 mg/l + IAA 3.0 mg/l) and treatment C (BAP 1.0 mg/l + NAA 3.0 mg/l) is not significantly different, but when viewed from the results of the percentage of live callus then treatment B (BAP 1.0 mg/l + IAA 3.0 mg/l) is most efficient because it has a percentage value of 44% greater than treatment C. The structure of the callus of G. verruca seaweed is the same as that of treatment B (BAP 1.0 mg/l + IAA 3.0 mg/l). The structure of G. verrucosa seaweed callus has a compact texture with a clear white color
