CITRA PEREMPUAN TOKOH UTAMA DALAM NOVEL AKU LUPA BAHWA AKU PEREMPUAN KARYA IHSAN ABDUL QUDDUS DAN IMPLIKASINYA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN SASTRA INDONESIA
This research aims to describe the image of the female character Suad and find out the implications of the research results on the image of the female character Suad in the novel Aku Lupa Bahwa Aku Perempuan by Ihsan Abdul Quddus for literature learning. The method used is qualitative descriptive. The data collection technique in this research is reading and note-taking techniques. The results of this research show that the image of women is divided into two, namely the self of women seen from the physical aspect and the psychological aspect, and the social image of women seen from the image of women in the family and the image of women in society. The self-image of women from the physical aspect depicted in the novel by Ihsan Abdul Quddus Aku Lupa Bahwa Aku Perempuan s that of adult women who experience, become pregnant, give birth, breastfeed, and are beautiful and free in their appearance. The image of women from the psychological aspect depicted in the novel Aku Lupa Bahwa Aku Perempuan by Ihsan Abdul Quddus is depicted as a woman who never gives up, a woman who is strong and wise, resilient, traumatized by the events that happened to her, and has self-respect. The social image of women is simplified into the image of women in the family and the image of women in society. In the image of women in the family, they are depicted as women who have older sisters, as daughters who are independent and mature in determining their path in life. Meanwhile, the image of women in society is as assistant lecturers in universities, and women who are active in participating in social activity organizations, and always attend every meeting and devote themselves as teachers and provide various useful knowledge. The results of this research can have implications for learning Indonesian literature in high school class XII, namely Basic competency 3.9 Analyzing the content and language of novels.
