IMPLEMENTASI METODE RAPID APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT (RAD) DAN FRAMEWORK DOUBLE DIAMOND UNTUK PENGEMBANGAN SISTEM INFORMASI PENERIMAAN CALON SANTRI BARU (SICARSA) (STUDI KASUS: PONDOK PESANTREN SALAFIYAH AL-FALAH PUTAK)

Amalia, Suci  - Personal Name;

Digital transformation is a strategic necessity for educational institutions to enhance service quality and operational effectiveness. Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah and Tahfidzul Qur’an Al-Falah Putak has utilized a web-based information system; however, its use remains suboptimal in terms of information presentation, content structure, and user experience. This study aims to develop the New Student Admission Information System (SICARSA) using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method and by integrating the Double Diamond framework to produce a more structured, responsive, and user-oriented UI/UX design. The research process includes needs analysis, system design, prototype development, and evaluation. The findings indicate that RAD accelerates system development in a systematic and efficient manner, while the integration of the Double Diamond framework results in an intuitive, consistent, and user-centered interface design. Usability evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS) involving 108 respondents produced a score of 80, categorized as “Excellent,” indicating that the system is easy to use and provides an optimal user experience. Furthermore, black box testing across 25 scenarios confirmed that all system functions operated according to specifications without issues. Overall, the developed SICARSA system is considered stable, informative, and effective in supporting the admission process and information delivery at Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Al-Falah Putak.
