POLA PENGGUNAAN OBAT SEMAGLUTIDE PADA PASIEN DIABETES MELITUS TIPE 2 DI RS SILOAM SRIWIJAYA PALEMBANG PERIODE JANUARI 2024-JANUARI 2025
Background: Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist used as a therapy to improve glycemic control in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Although its use continues to increase globally, data regarding the utilization pattern of this drug in Indonesia, remains scarce. Objective: To determine the pattern of semaglutide use among T2DM patients at Siloam Sriwijaya Hospital Palembang from January 1, 2024, to January 1, 2025, based on indication, dosing, drug interactions, and contraindications. Methods: This retrospective descriptive study analyzed secondary data from electronic medical records employing a total sampling technique. From a total population of 2,612 T2DM patients, 66 subjects using semaglutide met the inclusion criteria. In this study, data analysis was conducted using SPSS. Results: The prevalence of T2DM was 59.5% among the diabetic population, with a predominance of male (56.1%) and adult (84.8%) patients.
