SISTEM PROTEKSI RELE DAN SETTING RELE FREKUENSI DALAM MENGAMANKAN GENERATOR TURBIN GAS PT PUPUK SRIWIDJAJA
Electric energy is a fundamental necessity, especially for factories requiring a substantial supply of electricity. Thus, to generate electricity, factories utilize generators, such as Gas Turbine Generators (GTGs) employed by PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja. The generators at PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja are interconnected, forming a system where each generator is linked to the others. In the electrical power system, frequency serves as an indicator of generated power and the total system load. Frequency increases if there is excess generation and decreases if there is a shortage of generation or an excess load. The increase and decrease in frequency must remain within allowable limits. Based on calculation data, the frequency setting relay value is 52.5 Hz, while the frequency drop value is 47.5 Hz, with the relay operating 0.5 seconds thereafter. During load shedding, the lowest frequency value occurs in the simulation scenario of Factory 1B, Factory 4, and Factory 3. Factory 1B experiences a trip, resulting in a frequency drop rate of -6.1 Hz/s, causing the frequency to drop to 46.34 Hz, below the frequency relay setting value. To prevent blackouts, load shedding is conducted to restore the frequency, with a total shed load of 23.650 MW, and the frequency is restored to 48.9 Hz.
