EFEKTIVITAS PENGUKURAN DIMENSI VERTIKAL OKLUSI DENGAN ANALISIS FOTO DIGITAL MENGGUNAKAN KAMERA SMARTPHONE BERBASIS ANDROID
Background: Digital photo analysis is an alternative method of measuring the vertical dimension of occlusion in the denture manufacturing process. The use of android-based smartphone cameras can be an alternative to DSLR cameras because they are equipped with automatic mode features. Objective: This study aims to determine the difference in the results of measuring the vertical dimension of occlusion by direct method (Willis method) with digital photo analysis using an Android-based smartphone camera. Methods: This study is an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional approach. The total sample in this study was 30 Sriwijaya University dental students, divided into 2 groups; Group 1 Willis method and group 2 using digital photo analysis (Android-based smartphone camera). The data obtained were analysed using the Paired Sample T-Test. Results: The results of the Paired Sample T-Test showed that there was no statistical difference between the measurement of the vertical dimension of occlusion using the Willis method and digital photo analysis using an Android-based smartphone camera (p> 0.05). Conclusion: There is no difference between the results of measuring the vertical dimension of occlusion using the direct method (Willis method) and analysing digital photos using an Android-based smartphone camera.
