EFEKTIVITAS PENGUKURAN DIMENSI VERTIKAL OKLUSI DENGAN ANALISIS FOTO DIGITAL MENGGUNAKAN KAMERA SMARTPHONE BERBASIS IOS
Background: Current digital photo technology is used as an alternative method of occlusal vertical dimension measurement (DVO) for denture fabrication. The use of IOS-based smartphones could be an alternative to DSLR cameras because it is more practical and has been equipped with OIS sensor shift technology and portrait mode. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in the measurement value of the occlusal vertical dimension (DVO) by direct measurement method (Willis method) and digital photo analysis using an IOS-based smartphone camera. Methods: This study was an analytic observation study with a cross-sectional approach. The total sample in this study was 30 Sriwijaya University dental students, divided into 2 groups; group 1 Willis method and group 2 using digital photo analysis (IOS-based smartphone camera). The data obtained were analyzed using the Paired T test to see if there was a difference between the types of measurement methods. Results: The results of the Paired T-test showed that the measurement of DVO values based on the Willis method and digital photo analysis using an IOS-based smartphone camera had no statistical difference (p
