The lobbying communication process, which has become part of science in the field of communication science, aims to discuss or provide an opinion and influence existing policies and regulations, as well as asking for help in a performance carried out by an individual or an organization. The aim of this research is to analyze the communication process of tobacco farmers lobbying towards the local government in assisting the cultivation of study tobacco in South Perangai, South Merapi District, Lahat City. In this case, tobacco farmer representatives carried out an interaction with the local government using a lobbying communication process. The research method used was a qualitative research method. The data was collected through observation at the location where the problem occurred, in-depth interviews with the actors involved in the lobbying communication process in this research, as well as documenting the results of evidence that it was correct to carry out research directly and analyzing documents related to the problems and data related to this research. With the existence of a lobbying communication process, there is hope for good relations and mutual contact between tobacco farmers and local governments in providing results and mutual agreement in the resulting lobbying results.
