LUARAN ANAK DENGAN SOLID TUMOR DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG DAN FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMENGARUHINYA
Background: Solid tumors are a major cause of morbidity and mortality in children. The outcomes of pediatric patients with solid tumors are influenced by various factors, including demographic characteristics, nutritional status, perinatal history, socioeconomic conditions, tumor stage, and the type of therapy administered. Data regarding outcomes and associated factors among children with solid tumors at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital Palembang remain limited. Objective: This study aimed to determine the outcomes of pediatric patients with solid tumors at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital Palembang and to analyze factors associated with these outcomes. Methods: This was an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional design using secondary data obtained from medical records of pediatric patients with solid tumors treated at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital Palembang from 2018 to 2023. Results: Most patients were aged 0–5 years (44.9%), male (60.2%), had normal nutritional status (50.0%), normal birth weight (96.6%), and a history of exclusive breastfeeding (78.8%). The most common tumor stage was stage II (39.0%). Lymphoma was the most frequently diagnosed solid tumor (23.7%), followed by retinoblastoma (20.3%) and osteosarcoma (19.5%).
