PENGEMBANGAN BUKU SAKU DALAM UPAYA MENINGKATKAN PARTISIPASI PEMUDA KARANG TARUNA DI DESA SAKATIGA KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR

This research aims to develop pocket book media in an effort to increase youth participation in Sakatiga Village, Ogan Ilir Regency. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with ten stages based on Borg and Gall theory. However, due to the limitation of time and energy as well as the substance of this study, the researcher only carried out six stages of the Borg and Gall Research and Development method which has been modified according to the needs of the research as follows: analysis of potential and problems, gathering information and identification of needs, product design, product development (product manufacturing and product validation), product improvement and product testing. The subjects of the study were young people in Sakatiga Village and three validators in the fields of materials, media, and language. The data collection method uses questionnaire and interview methods. Media data is assessed by three experts, namely material experts, media experts, and linguists. The analysis used is the Likert Scale and the Gutman Scale. The product trial was carried out in two stages, namely a one-to-one trial on three respondents and a small grou trial, namely on ten respondents which aimed to test the practicality of pocket book media containing youth participation in youth organizations. The results of the research on the validity level of material experts with a very valid category, media experts with a valid category and linguists with a very valid category. The level of practicality was obtained from the results of one-to-one trials with the very practical category and small group trials with the very practical category. So as to prove that the pocket book media that discusses increasing youth participation in youth organizations is valid and practical as a learning medium.
