DAMPAK DIPLOMASI BUDAYA TERHADAP HUBUNGAN BILATERAL INDONESIA DAN AMERIKA SERIKAT MELALUI RUMAH BUDAYA INDONESIA
The study is a qualitative study aimed specifically at illustrating the implications of cultural diplomacy through the Rumah Budaya Indonesia (RBI) set up in the United States to the bilateral relations between the two countries. The Indonesian cultural house is a form cultural diplomacy created by the Indonesian government through the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, which aims to develop and introduce Indonesian culture in the international environment. Cultural diplomacy is an exchange of ideas, information, arts, and cultural aspects carried out between one country and another with the aim of maintaining an attitude of mutual understanding between the two parties. While bilateral relations are a form of cooperation between countries that are geographically close or far across the ocean to create peace. To achieve the objectives of this study, the research method that the author uses is a qualitative descriptive method based on the philosophy of postpositivism and examine the condition of natural objects. Data collection techniques through literature study sourced from books, journals, websites, e-books, and valid national and international literature. And the theories used in this research are the theory of Cultural Diplomacy and the theory of Bilateral Relations. The results of this study indicate that the existence of an Indonesian cultural house built the United States has so far shown a positive impact on the cooperative relationship between Indonesia and the United States. One of the resulting impacts is the increasingly close bilateral relationship between Indonesia and the United States which affects the economic, political and educational levels of the two countries.
