PERAN DUKUNGAN SOSIAL TERHADAP KEPUASAN HIDUP PADA WANITA YANG BERCERAI

This study aims to determine the role of social support (emotional support, tangible support, instrumental support, informative support) towards life satisfaction in divorced woman. The hypothesis of this research is that there is a role of emotional support, tangible support, instrumental support, and informative support towards life satisfaction in divorced woman. Participants in this study were 148 women who were divorced for less than 6 years, had children, and did not work before the divorce. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling. This study uses two scales as measuring tools, namely the life satisfaction scale develop by researchers which refers to the aspects of Diener and Biswar-Diener (2008) with reliability score is 0,931 and social support scale develop by researchers which refers to the types of Sarafino (2011) with reliability score is 0,876. Data analysis in this study was carried and using multiple regression analysis technique. The results of the regression analysis showed that the data value of emotional support (sig = 0,029) and tangible support (sig = 0,000) has a significant role towards life satisfaction. This shows that the hypothesis proposed in this study can be accepted. The result of instrumental support (sig = 0,808) and informative support (0,868) has not a significant role towards life satisfaction. The effective contribution of emotional support is 12,7%, tangible support is 22,7%, instrumental support is -1,3%, and informative support is 0,7%.
