FAKTOR-FAKTOR PENYEBAB PERILAKU MEROKOK (KASUS: PESERTA DIDIK SMP NEGERI 2 INDRALAYA)
Smoking among students, including at SMP Negeri 2 Indralaya, is an important issue that requires in-depth understanding. Smoking is not only a public health problem but also has the potential to disrupt the physical, mental and social development of adolescents. Data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health shows an increase in the prevalence of smoking among teenagers in recent years, indicating that teenage smokers are getting younger. This research aims to identify factors that influence smoking behavior among students at SMP Negeri 2 Indralaya, such as the influence of parents, peers, personality and cigarette advertising. The school and family environment play an important role in shaping adolescents' attitudes and behavior regarding smoking. With a deeper understanding of these factors, it is hoped that more effective prevention efforts can be developed, including intervention programs that are appropriate to the local context and strengthening the role of schools in educating students about the dangers of smoking. This research aims to contribute to efforts to prevent smoking among teenagers and provide a basis for developing more effective policies in tackling this problem at the local and national level.
