PENGARUH V-LEARN (VIDEO AND LEAFLET FOR TEENAGE GIRL’S REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH EDUCATION) TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP REMAJA PUTRI TENTANG DISMENORE DI MA BABUSSALAM
Dysmenorrhea is one of the most common health problems experienced by adolescent girls and can interfere with learning activities as well as overall quality of life. Limited knowledge and inappropriate attitudes toward menstrual pain management contribute significantly to the high level of discomfort experienced by adolescents. This study aimed to examine the effect of V-LEARN media on the knowledge and attitudes of adolescent girls regarding dysmenorrhea at MA Babussalam. V-LEARN is a health education medium consisting of a combination of educational videos and leaflets designed to deliver information on adolescent reproductive health. This study employed a one-group pretest–posttest design involving 55 respondents selected through stratified random sampling. The results showed that more than half of the respondents initially had a moderate level of knowledge (70.9%). After receiving education through V-LEARN, the majority of respondents demonstrated good knowledge (80%). Prior to the intervention, more than half of the respondents (78.2%) exhibited positive attitudes, and following the intervention, all respondents (100%) demonstrated positive attitudes. The results of the Marginal Homogeneity and McNemar tests showed a p-value of 0.000 (p ≤ 0.05), indicating a statistically significant effect. The findings indicate that V-LEARN is effective in improving knowledge and fostering more positive attitudes toward dysmenorrhea management among adolescent girls. Based on these results, V-LEARN can be recommended as an alternative health education medium to enhance adolescents’ knowledge and attitudes regarding dysmenorrhea.
