PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PODCAST SPOTIFY DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MENYIMAK TEKS CERITA RAKYAT PADA SISWA KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 24 PALEMBANG

This development research aims to (1) describe the results of the analysis of teachers' and students' needs for podcast learning media using the Spotify application on folklore text material, (2) describe the results of designing podcast learning media using the Spotify application on folklore text material, (3) describe the results of expert validation of the podcast learning media design using the Spotify application on folklore text material for class VII students of SMP Negeri 24 Palembang. Podcast learning media using the Spotify application was developed based on the results of an analysis the needs of teachers and students at SMP Negeri 24 Palembang. The type of research used in this research is Research and Development (R&D). The development model used in this research is the Alessi and Trollip development model, which consists of three stages, including the planning stage, the design stage, and the development stage. The data collection techniques used in this research are interview techniques, questionnaires, and expert validation tests. Expert validation is carried out based on three aspects, namely media aspects, material aspects, and language aspects. The validation results for the media aspect obtained a value of 48 out of the maximum score (50) with percentage of 96% were categorized as very valid, the validation results for the material aspect obtained a value of 48 out of the maximum score (50) with a percentage of 96% were categorized as very valid, and the validation results for the language aspect obtained a value of 49 out of the maximum score (50) with a percentage of 98% were categorized as very valid. Based on validation from the three experts, overall it can be concluded that the Spotify podcast learning media in learning to listen to folk story text for class VII students of SMP Negeri 24 Palembang is declared very valid and very suitable for use in learning activities.
