Data indicate that approximately 8–10% of women experience anxiety during pregnancy, and this figure increases to 13% as childbirth approaches. Anxiety during pregnancy, particularly in the third trimester, may be influenced by various factors, one of which is husband support. This study aimed to examine the relationship between husband support and anxiety levels among third-trimester pregnant women in preparation for childbirth at the Mekar Jaya Public Health Center. This study employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. All third-trimester pregnant women were included as research participants using a total sampling technique (n = 89). The research instruments consisted of questionnaires assessing husband support and anxiety levels. Data were analyzed using the Chi-square test. The results showed that the majority of respondents experienced mild anxiety (61 respondents; 64.9%), and most received supportive involvement from their husbands (60 respondents; 63.8%). The Chi-square test revealed a statistically significant relationship between husband support and anxiety levels among third-trimester pregnant women in preparing for childbirth (p-value = 0.000; p < 0.05). These findings indicate that husband support plays a significant role in reducing maternal anxiety prior to delivery. This study emphasizes the importance of optimizing spousal support to reduce maternal anxiety during late pregnancy. It is recommended that healthcare providers strengthen family-centered psychological support programs, and educational institutions integrate family support concepts into learning curricula.
