STRATEGI KPU KOTA PALEMBANG DALAM MENINGKATKAN PARTISIPASI MAHASISWA SEBAGAI PEMILIH PEMULA PADA PEMILU SERENTAK TAHUN 2024

To increase the participation of beginner voters, especially university students, the KPU formed a socialization program called the KPU going to campus that attracted quite a lot of attention. The purpose of this research is to find out how the implementation of the Palembang City KPU strategy in increasing student participation as a beginner voter. The method used in this study was qualitatively descriptive with data collection techniques through interviews and observations and using Wheelen and Hunger's theory of strategy implementation. The result of this research is a strategy carried out by the Palembang City KPU is a 5-year program. Every budget given must be allocated properly and in accordance with the rules set by the Indonesian General Election Commission. Then, the strategy process is carried out according to the original plan. However, problems can be found in supporting factors and strategy inhibiting factors. The conclusion of this study if viewed through wheelen and unsub theory, it can be concluded that the Palembang City KPU has carried out socialization well and according to the established rules. However, it would be better if socialization were conducted periodically.
