PENGARUH E-EDUFLIP HEALTHY LIFESTYLE (HELI) TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN REMAJA TENTANG PENCEGAHAN DINI DIABETES MELITUS

Putri, Tarisya Chintia - Personal Name;

Adolescents represent a critical target group for early prevention efforts, as lifestyle behaviors adopted during this developmental stage contribute significantly to the risk of non- communicable diseases in adulthood, including diabetes mellitus. Diabetes mellitus is a global health concern with a continuously increasing prevalence. Unhealthy lifestyle patterns combined with low levels of knowledge among adolescents highlight the need for effective health education interventions that can enhance adolescents’ understanding of early diabetes mellitus prevention. This study aimed to analyze the effect of the E Eduflip Healthy Lifestyle (HeLi) media on adolescents' knowledge regarding the early prevention of diabetes mellitus. This research used a quantitative one-group pretest- posttest design involving 40 respondents aged 15-17 years at SMK Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara, selected using a stratified random sampling technique. The research instrument was a knowledge questionnaire on healthy lifestyle (HeLi) related to early diabetes mellitus prevention efforts. Data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test to assess changes in knowledge levels. The results indicated that the median knowledge score increased from 12 before the intervention to 21 after the intervention using the E-Eduflip Healthy Lifestyle (HeLi) media, with a p-value of 0.000, demonstrating a statistically significant effect of health education delivered through the E-Eduflip Healthy Lifestyle (HeLi) media on improving adolescents' knowledge. This media has proven to be effective as an interactive health education tool that supports digital-based health promotion for the early prevention of diabetes mellitus.
