ANALISIS KINERJA PENYULUH PERTANIAN LAPANGAN DAN HUBUNGANNYA DENGAN PRODUKTIVITAS DAN PENDAPATAN USAHATANI PADI DI KELURAHAN SUNGAI SELINCAH KECAMATAN KALIDONI KOTA PALEMBANG
The objectives of this study were: (1) to evaluate the performance of agricultural extension officers in rice farming, (2) to calculate the productivity and income of rice farming, and (3) to analyze the relationship between the performance of agricultural extension officers and the productivity and income of rice farming. This research was conducted in Sungai Selincah Sub-district, Kalidoni District, Palembang City. The research location was selected purposively. The method used in this study was a survey method. The number of farmer respondents was 35, selected through a simple random sampling technique. The data collected in this study included both primary and secondary data. The results showed that the performance of agricultural extension officers in Sungai Selincah fell into the moderate category, with a total performance score of 805 or 64%. The productivity of rice in the area was 3,784 kilograms per hectare, which is categorized as moderate. The farmers’ income amounted to IDR 16,299,343 per year per cultivated area, also falling into the moderate category. There was a significant relationship between the performance of agricultural extension officers and rice productivity in Sungai Selincah, Kalidoni District, Palembang City, with a significance value of 0.031 (p < 0.05), thus rejecting the null hypothesis (Ho). Based on the correlation coefficient of 0.366, the strength of the relationship was classified as low or weak. Meanwhile, there was no significant relationship between the performance of agricultural extension officers and the income of rice farmers in the same area, with a significance value of 0.259 (p > 0.05), thus accepting the null hypothesis (Ho). The correlation coefficient of 0.196 indicated a very low or very weak relationship between the performance of extension Officers and farmers’ income.
