STRATEGI KOMUNITAS RELAWAN ANAK SUMATERA SELATAN (RASS) DALAM MELAKUKAN PEMBERDAYAAN TERHADAP ANAK JALANAN DI TANGGA BUNTUNG PALEMBANG

This research focuses on the empowerment strategy carried out by the South Sumatera Children's Volunteers (RASS) towards street children who are in the Banga Buntung Palembang teaching area. Empowerment of street children is expected to help educated children from RASS get better life and future. The purpose of this study is to analyze and understand how the strategies implemented by RASS are in carrying out empowerment of street children. The research method used is qualitatively descriptive. Data were obtained from 10 informants through interviews, participant observation and documentation and data analysis techniques from Miles and Huberman. The results of this study show that there are strategies implemented in carrying out empowerment of street children in Bangga Buntung, firstly by adjusting to the conditions of the surrounding environment and the savagery of the empowered children and secondly by involving the local government apparatus, namely RT workers, parents of educated children and local residents.
