ANALISIS SINTESIS NANOSILIKA BERBAHAN DASAR FLY ASH MENGGUNAKAN METODE SOL GEL DENGAN VARIASI WAKTU PEMANASAN.
Nanosilica particles are silica of very small size on the nanometer scale, namely 1-100 nm. With its very small size, less than 100 nm, nanosilica is very suitable to be synthesized from fly ash waste. This research aims to examine the effect of varying heating times and the use of fly ash on the quality of the produced nanosilica. Fly ash can be used as a constituent material in cement and can also be mixed with methanol in the right proportion. Other constituent materials include HCl, NaOH, Ammonia, and demineralized water. This research uses heating time variations of 2 hours, 3 hours, and 4 hours, with microstructure testing to analyze the synthesis results in the form of X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Based on the tests, it was found that the relatively good heating time during the synthesis process using the sol gel method is 2 hours, which produces silica purity of 57.92% and a crystal size of 29 nm with 2.86% crystalline and 97.14% amorphous. From this research, it can be concluded that the longer the heating time, the smaller the silica size produced, and the shorter the heating time, the larger the silica size produced and the greater the quantity.
