ANALISIS KEHILANGAN BATUBARA DALAM KEGIATAN PENAMBANGAN BATUBARA DARI PIT ABIMANYU KE STOCKPILE DI PT PUTRA MUBA COAL, KABUPATEN MUSI BANYUASIN, SUMATERA SELATAN

Alhakim, Athallah Gida - Personal Name;

PT Putra Muba Coal has a total IUP area of 2,947 ha and since 2008 has been fulfilling coal demand for various local businesses and international markets. The company is one of the concession holders with South Sumatra Governor number 316/PTS/DIPARTAMBEN/2011. Based on the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, from the process of mining activities to shipping, the number of coal losses is monitored to be in the range of 10% - 15%, while at the stage of mining, washing and transportation of coal it is at 5%. The coal recovery value is only around 86.75%, meaning that every stage of coal mining of 1,000,000 tons, only 867,500 tons of coal can be sold and utilized. Of course it makes a big loss for the country. In January 2024, there was a difference between insitu tonnage of 103,394.94 tons and mined coal tonnage of 96,540.75 tons. This indicates that there is coal loss at PT Putra Muba Coal, Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. The purpose of this study is to calculate the percentage of coal loss, analyze the causes of coal loss and identify what efforts can be made to minimize coal loss. The calculation of the percentage of coal loss is found in coal cleaning activities by 2.37% (2,458.43 tons), in coal loading activities by 4.13% (4,265.29 tons) and in coal transportation activities by 0.13% (1130.47 tons). From this percentage, it is found that the causes of coal loss include sliding material that hoards coal that has been cleaned so that cleaning activities must be carried out again, mining front areas that do not have a good drainage system that makes coal submerged in water and cannot be reused, and poor hauling road conditions that make coal fall from the top of the dumptruck vessel on the hauling area road. After that, ways to minimize the loss of coal were obtained, such as making a bench holder so that when there is sliding material, it does not directly bury coal, making a good xi Universitas Sriwijaya drainage system so that there is no stagnant water in the mining front area, and repairing hauling roads and maintaining them regularly and periodically.
