PENERAPAN DATA MINING UNTUK PREDIKSI PENJUALAN OBAT MENGGUNAKAN METODE K-NEAREST NEIGHBOR (STUDI KASUS: PT XYZ PALEMBANG)

PT XYZ Palembang is one of the national pharmaceutical companies that supplies medicine in Indonesia. This company produces various medicinal products in very large quantities. It is known that sales of medicinal products in the last 3 years have decreased and increased every month. With the decrease and increase in sales, the company must estimate drug sales well to ensure that the availability of drug stock is not excessive or lacking. The researcher proposed the implementation of the K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm with the aim of determining the results of predicting the number of drug sales at PT XYZ Palembang. K-Nearest Neighbor is applied through manual calculations and using RapidMiner software. The prediction results obtained through RapidMiner produce a good level of accuracy, reaching 90%. With these prediction results, it is revealed that the K-Nearest Neighbor method is effective in predicting future sales. The K-NN model can be one solution to predict drug sales based on previously existing sales data.
