ANALISIS KADAR AIR DAN BOBOT ISI TANAH GAMBUT BERDASARKAN VARIASI SUHU DAN WAKTU PADA KEDALAMAN TETAP DI DAERAH SEPUCUK KECAMATAN KAYU AGUNG
The area of peatland in Indonesia is around 20.96 million hectares, spread across several Indonesian islands. Part of South Sumatra Province is peatland. Ogan Ilir Regency has around 769,000 hectares of peatland. Peat is land that is formed naturally due to the accumulation of organic material from the weathering of vegetation that grows around it. Peat has several characteristics, including moisture content and bulk density. The moisture content of peat soil can be used to determine the moisture content of peat soil for fire prevention, development planning and agriculture. A decrease in bulk density can cause fires and make it difficult to plant. Therefore, this research aims to determine the effect of temperature variations of 50°C, 100°C and 150°C and heating time of 4 hours on moisture content and bulk density at a fixed depth. The higher the temperature and the longer the heating time, the higher the water loss and the lower the bulk density.
