PERBANDINGAN GAMBARAN HISTOLOGI LIEN MENCIT MODEL OBESITAS YANG DIBERIKAN EKSTRAK DAUN KELOR (MORINGA OLEIFERA L.).
Obesity is a condition characterized by excess body fat, leading to various health issues, including histological changes in organs such as the spleen (lien). This study aims to compare the histological features of the spleen in an obesity mouse model treated with Moringa oleifera leaf extract to investigate its potential effects on obesity-induced histological alterations. This experimental study involved dividing the obesity mouse model into six groups: a negative control group, a positive control group, and four treatment groups receiving different doses of Moringa oleifera extract (150, 300, 450, and 600 mg/kgBW). Histological analyses focused on measuring the white pulp, red pulp, sinusoidal dilation, and adipocyte infiltration. The groups treated with Moringa oleifera extract showed a significant reduction in the size of both red and white pulp compared to the control groups. Sinusoidal dilation was also less pronounced in the treatment groups. Additionally, there was a notable decrease in adipocyte infiltration, particularly in the groups receiving higher doses of the extract. Moringa oleifera extract has the potential to improve obesity-induced histological changes in the spleen, including reducing sinusoidal dilation and adipocyte infiltration. These findings suggest that Moringa oleifera could be a promising therapeutic agent for managing obesity-related histological alterations.
