PENGARUH HARA NITROGEN TERHARAP PEMULIHAN KELAPA SAWIT (ELAEIS GUINEENSIS JACQ.) PASCA KEMARAU DI LAHAN KERING.
This research aims was to determined the dosage of nitrogen fertilizer for the recovery of oil palm after drought conditions in dry land. This research was conducted at the Oil Palm Research Plantation (3º13’16”S 104º38’25ºE), Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra from November 2023 to February 2024. The study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with six treatments and four block, resulting in 24 treatment experimental units of plans. These treatments consisted of different doses of nitrogen fertilizer, namely 0 kg, 1 kg, 1.5 kg, 2 kg, 2.5 kg, and 3 kg. Data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). If there was significant effect, it was continued by a Least Significant Difference (LSD) test at the 5% level. The observed parameters included the total number of fronds, the number of spear fronds, the number of chlorotic fronds, the number of spear leaves, the number of male flowers bunch, the number of female flowers bunch, the number of fruit bunches, and the weight of fresh fruit bunches (FFB). The application of nitrogen fertilizer 2 kg gave the best results in terms of increasing the number of fronds, reducing the number of spear fronds and also chlorotic fronds, decreasing the number of spear leaves, increasing the number fruit bunch and the weight of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) from 1.72 kg of 1 WAF to 3.22 kg at 15 WAF.
