EDUKASI PENGETAHUAN PEMBATASAN CAIRAN DAN GARAM DENGAN MASALAH DEFISIT PENGETAHUAN MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA LEAFLET PADA PASIEN GAGAL GINJAL KRONIK YANG MENJALANI HEMODIALISIS
Background: Limited knowledge can lead to non-compliance with fluid and salt restrictions, resulting in complications. One of the things that supports the improvement of good nutritional management and fluid restriction is patient knowledge and compliance. Patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis must have knowledge about dietary adjustments and fluid restrictions. Methods used to improve knowledge and compliance in patients with chronic kidney failure include health education using leaflet media. Leaflets can help improve patient understanding of diet and fluid management. Objective: to describe nursing care to nursing problems in CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis with a focus on providing education on fluid and salt restriction. Method: Qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Patients are given education using lectures, questions and answers. Results and Discussion: The results of the case study showed that the three managed patients experienced the same problem, namely a knowledge deficit. There are 4 other problems hypervolemia, nausea, fatigue, and risk of nutritional deficit. Before the intervention, the patient is given a pretest questionnaire to prove that there is an influence on the patient's knowledge. Interventions for diagnosing knowledge deficits, using fluid and salt restriction education, showed that there was an increase in knowledge seen in patients as evidenced by the provision of a post-test questionnaire. Conclusion: There is an influence in providing education on knowledge of fluid and salt restrictions on nursing problems of knowledge deficit in kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis.
