Children’s ability to match numbers with number symbols remains a challenge ini early numeracy learning at the kindergarden level. Preminary observations conducted at TK Angkasa Lanud Palembang revealed that most children in Group A had not yet been able to consistently associate quantities with their corresponding number symbols. This Condition resulted in less optimal learning activies, as children showed limites focus and learning outcomes that has not met the expected developmental indicators. Through the use of number and counter media, this study sought to enhance children's capacity to match numbers with number symbols. Eight kids from Group A at TK Angkasa Lanud Palembang participated in the study using a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design. Children's progress in each cycle was evaluated using performance-based tests and observation. The findings showed that children's skills gradually improved after the number and counter media were introduced. Children's achievement during the pre-cycle stage was 53.12%, classified as Beginning to Develop. The achievement rose to 69.68% in Cycle I, placing it in the Developing as Expected category. A notable increase to 86.93%, classified as Developing Very Well, resulted from additional advancements in learning strategies during Cycle II, especially through the use of the one-to-one correspondence method with an individual learning approach.
