The purpose of this study is to describe the forms of ekranisasi (adaptation) from Makoto Shinkai's novel Your Name to the film Your Name directed by Makoto Shinkai and its implications for literature teaching in high school. This research employs a qualitative method. Data for this study were collected through reading, observing, and noting techniques. The findings indicate that there are 46 data points supported by 55 images. The forms of ekranisasi identified include 6 reductions, 20 additions, and 17 various changes. The results of this study can be applied to the teaching of Indonesian language in 12th grade high school, specifically in the curriculum concerning the content and language of novels, particularly focusing on the intrinsic elements of the novel.
