Al Ghazy, Abdurrahman - Personal Name;

Background: Sexual harassment is a serious and widespread human rights violation, encompassing physical, verbal, or psychological acts without the victim's consent, occurring in various contexts such as households, workplaces, and educational institutions. Its impact is severe, including depression and decreased quality of life. Among students, cases of sexual harassment continue to increase, especially in higher education, prompting the Ministry of Education to introduce prevention programs through Permendikbudristek No. 30 of 2021. Students need to understand sexual harassment and preventive measures, such as being vigilant and preparing emergency contact numbers. This study aims to explore the knowledge and attitudes of Sriwijaya University students towards sexual harassment. Methods: This research is a descriptive observational study using primary data from medical records. The research sample consists of D3 and S1 students from Sriwijaya University who meet the inclusion criteria and do not have exclusion criteria. Results: Regarding respondents' knowledge, 362 students (81.1%) had good knowledge, 40 students (9.1%) had sufficient knowledge, and 39 students (8.8%) had poor knowledge. The attitudes of Sriwijaya University students were mostly positive, with 433 students (98.2%) showing a positive attitude and 8 students (1.8%) showing a negative attitude. Conclusion: The knowledge and attitudes of Sriwijaya University students towards sexual harassment indicate that the majority have good knowledge and positive attitudes. Out of 441 respondents, 362 students (81.1%) demonstrated good knowledge of sexual harassment, while 433 students (98.2%) showed supportive attitudes towards prevention and mitigation efforts against sexual harassment.
