PENGGUNAAN SISTEM INFORMASI GEOGRAFIS (SIG) DALAM ANALISIS DAYA DUKUNG LAHAN BERBASIS KEMAMPUAN LAHAN (STUDI KASUS: WILAYAH LAHAN KABUPATEN BANYUASIN TAHUN 2023)

The use of geographic information system (GIS) is used to analyze land capability based on land capability unit and land carrying capacity for land development of Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra in 2023. This research is based on Permen PU No. 20 of 2007 to create land capability units and capabilities with descriptive analysis methods and spatial methods. The carrying capacity is obtained from the results of land capability which is then classified into potential, limitation and constraint areas, to review the potential for land development. The results of this study show that the classification of land capability in Banyuasin Regency is divided into two categories, namely high development capability (99.9999%) and sufficient development capability (0.0001%). Therefore, all land use sectors in the area have a very good opportunity to be utilized optimally, supporting various types of development and sustainable economic activities. The land carrying capacity of Banyuasin Regency in 2023 is classified as a potential area, so the area has full potential to support planned development and utilization activities.
