PENGARUH PEMBERIAN BIOBOOST TERHADAP KOMPOSISI FRAKSI SERAT RUMPUT PAKCHONG (PENNISETUM PURPUREUM CV.THAILAND)
Feed is an important requirement for the development of ruminant livestock, both on a small and large scale. Climate change plays an important role in productivity and feed quality. The effort to the The effort to maintain the availability of greenery is with the cultivation of superior grasses that are productive and of high quality like Pakchong Grasses. Pakchong grass has a high rough fiber so it is difficult to digest by cattle. Therefore, the reduction of fiber fractions can be done with the administration of bioboost fertilizer. This study uses a Complete Random Plan (RAL) with 4 treatments and 3 repetitions. Each treatment has P1= without bioboost (control), P2 = 900 ml / 600 ml water, P3 = 1100 ml / 400 ml water biomass, P4 = 1300 ml / 200 ml water. The observed variables are the Neutral Detergent Fiber (NDF), Acid Detergant Fiber (ADF), hemicellulose, cellulose and lignin. The results of the study show that the bioboost has no significant influence (P>0,05) on the contents of NDF, ADF, hemicellulose, cellulose, and lignin. The average NDF contents range between 56.17%-58.22%, ADF ranges between 45.95%-50.14%, hemicillulose ranges from 8.08%-10.22%, cellulose ranges among 20.06%-23.14% and lignin 5.72%-7.97%. The conclusion of this research is the administration of bioboost fertilizer at a dose of 1300 ml/200 ml of water gives an unreasonable influence on the composition of Pakchong grass fiber. However, there is a tendency to decrease the fiber fraction content (NDF, ADF, cellulose, and lignin).
