PERAN JONHAR SAAD DALAM PENGEMBANGAN DULMULUK DI KOTA PALEMBANG

This research is entitled "The role of Jonhar Saad in the development of Dulmuluk in Palembang City in 1982-2022". The issue raised is regarding Jonhar Saad's biography and Jonhar Saad's role in maintaining and developing the Dulmuluk performing arts from 1982-2022. The purpose of this research is to find out Jonhar Saad's early life before entering the world of Dulmuluk performing arts, the factors that encouraged Jonhar Saad to enter the world of Dulmuluk performing arts and to find out Jonhar Saad's role in the development of Dulmuluk Palembang in 1982-2022. In this research the author uses a historical method which has four steps, namely heuristics, source criticism, interpretation and historiography. Meanwhile, the approach used in this research is a biographical approach which includes the family, educational and socio-cultural background of the characters written. Based on the research results, it is known that Jonhar Saad's biography contains his family background, education, socio-cultural environment and travels as well as Jonhar Saad's struggle in maintaining authenticity and developing the Dulmuluk performing arts since 1982 resulting in Jonhar Saad being able to maintain the value of traditional Palembang arts to this day. can be preserved and felt until the current generation.
