FUNGSI KELUARGA DALAM MENGATASI REMAJA YANG TERLIBAT GENG MOTOR DI INDRALAYA

This research focuses on the function of the family in dealing with teenagers involved in motorbike gangs in Indralaya. The informants in this research were the parents of illegal racing perpetrators. In this research, the theory used is the family function theory according to Tamelan using descriptive qualitative methods. Data collection techniques in this research were carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. There are two sources of data for this research, namely, primary data sources obtained through observation and interviews and secondary data obtained through documentation. Then the data was analyzed using data collection, reduction and conclusion drawing techniques. The results of this study suggest that biological family functions, such as meeting basic needs and health care, contribute to adolescents' physical and mental well-being, which may reduce the likelihood of involvement in risky behavior. Effective socialization within the family helps teenagers develop social skills and build healthy relationships. Good education provides an understanding of positive values and alternative useful activities. In addition, economic aspects, although they contribute to family dynamics, show that emotional support and good communication are more influential in preventing adolescent involvement in motorbike gangs. This research concludes that strong family functioning can be a determining factor in guiding teenagers away from motorcycle gangs, by emphasizing the importance of fulfilling biological needs, positive socialization, and good education.
