REPRESENTASI GANGGUAN PANIK DALAM DRAMA KOREA DAILY DOSE OF SUNSHINE EPISODE 3 (2023) (ANALISIS SEMIOTIKA ROLAND BARTHES)

Daily Dose of Sunshine is a drama series from South Korea that tells the story of Jung Da-Eun (Park Bo-Young) struggle as a nurse in a neuropsychiatric ward in treating, caring and listening to her patients. This research aims to determine the representation of panic disorder in the Korean drama Daily Dose of Sunshine episode 3 (2023). The data in this research were obtained from observation, documentation and literature study using the Roland Barthes semiotic analysis method, which contains the meaning of denotation, connotation and myth. The result of this research show signs of various physical and psychological symptoms, triggers of panic disorder, treatment, misunderstanding and social stigma towards panic disorder. Through the characters of Song Yu-Chan and Ji Seung-Jae, the directors wants to raise the awareness about mental disorders, especially panic disorder, using the drama series as a medium for mental health campaigns.
