STRATEGI ADAPTASI KELOMPOK SENI TEATER ”DUL MULUK” SANGGAR HARAPAN JAYA PALEMBANG DALAM MENGHADAPI PERUBAHAN SOSIAL BUDAYA

This research aims to find out what obstacles Sanggar Harapan Jaya faces in sociocultural changes and the adaptation strategies carried out by Sanggar Harapan Jaya in order to maintain the art of "Dul Muluk" theater. The aim of this research is to analyze and understand the adaptation strategy of the theater arts group "Dul Muluk" Sanggar Harapan Jaya Palembang in Facing Socio-Cultural Change. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study research strategy. This research uses theoretical concepts from John W. Bennet. Data was obtained from 8 main informants, 3 key informants and 4 supporting informants using data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, documentation and literature study. The results of this research show that social and cultural changes can make Sanggar Harapan Jaya develop new ideas to maintain the art of "Dul Muluk" theater and Sanggar Harapan Jaya observes the conditions around them to adapt themselves now to social and cultural conditions that have changed a lot. The strategy used by Sanggar Harapan Jaya is to utilize social media, namely Instagram, to introduce the theater art "Dul Muluk" to a large audience, and participate in high schools in Palembang with the same thing to introduce the theater art "Dul Muluk" with the aim of teenagers feeling interested and want to learn it. Adaptation, which is used to find out Sanggar Harapan Jaya in presenting the theater art "Dul Muluk" in the way they create an atmosphere for the audience, including today's teenagers.
