PERENCANAAN DAN PERANCANGAN RUMAH SAKIT JIWA PROVINSI BANTEN
The lack of provision of mental health service facilities related to curative and rehabilitative containers will have an impact on the number of patients. The latest data from the Banten Provincial Government revealed that there are 13,476 severe ODGJs in Banten Province. This increases the urgency in Banten Province due to the unavailability of the Mental Hospital which is a tertiary health facility as the highest reference. The planning and design of the Banten Province Mental Hospital applies the architectural concept of behavior that focuses on patient behavior differences, where there are several aspects that are used as references. In the aspect of distress and density, a behavior zone that distinguishes clusters by public, private, and service zones is applied. In the territorial aspect, barrier boundaries are applied in the form of fences that restrict public and private zones. In the aspect of personal space, sociopetal applies communal areas and sociophugal applies space provision based on patient class. In the privacy aspect, a sunshade applies social contact to visual restrictions. The design also considers security aspects by considering the provision of CCTVs, access lock doors, nursing stations, and security posts around crucial areas.
