PERBANDINGAN EDUKASI DENGAN MEDIA HAND PUPPET DAN POP-UP BOOK TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN SISWA TENTANG PERILAKU BULLYING DI SEKOLAH DASAR
Bullying has become increasingly prevalent in school environments and requires immediate attention, as it can cause serious adverse effects on victims. Adequate knowledge of bullying behavior plays a crucial role in shaping positive attitudes and preventing bullying incidents. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of educational interventions using hand puppet media and pop-up book media on students’ knowledge of bullying behavior at SDN 08 Indralaya. This study employed a quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest non-equivalent control group design. The study population consisted of 122 students, with a total sample of 62 students from grades II, III, IV, and V, aged 7–11 years, at SDN 08 Indralaya. Sampling was conducted using probability sampling with a stratified random sampling technique to ensure proportional representation from each grade level. Data were collected using a validated questionnaire. Statistical analysis using the Shapiro–Wilk test indicated that the data were not normally distributed. The Wilcoxon test showed a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) for both the hand puppet and pop-up book intervention groups. The Mann–Whitney test yielded a p-value of 0.250 (p > 0.05), indicating no significant difference in students’ knowledge of bullying behavior between the hand puppet and pop-up book media. The findings suggest that both educational media can be used as effective intervention options to improve students’ knowledge of bullying behavior and may serve as a reference for future research.
