PROFIL PASIEN PASCA CORONARY ARTERY BYPASS GRAFT (CABG) FASE I YANG MENGIKUTI TINDAKAN I SIX-MINUTE WALK TEST DI RSUP Dr. MOHAMMAD HOESIN
Background: Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) is a myocardial revascularization procedure aimed at restoring blood flow to the heart in patients with coronary artery disease. Postoperative evaluation of functional capacity is important to assess the effectiveness of cardiac recovery, particularly during phase I of cardiac rehabilitation. The Six-Minute Walk Test (6MWT) is a simple and safe method that can be used to assess the functional ability of post-CABG patients. Objective: This study aimed to describe the profile of post-CABG phase I patients who underwent evaluation using the 6MWT at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital Palembang. Methods: This was a descriptive cross-sectional study involving 44 post-CABG patients who underwent the 6MWT. Data collected included demographic characteristics (age, sex), comorbidities, type of CABG procedure, 6MWT walking distance, and estimated VO₂Max calculated using a predictive formula. Results: The mean age of patients was 54.80 ± 11.98 years, with the majority being male (68.2%). The most common comorbidities were hypertension (50%) and dyslipidemia (36.4%). Most patients underwent off-pump CABG (72.7%). The mean 6MWT walking distance was 308.52 ± 80.91 meters, while the mean VO₂Max was 13.43 ± 3.69 ml/kg/min, indicating low to moderate aerobic capacity during the early phase of post-CABG recovery. Conclusion: Most post-CABG patients at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital had low to moderate functional capacity during phase I of cardiac rehabilitation. The Six-Minute Walk Test (6MWT) can serve as a simple evaluation tool to monitor recovery progress in post-surgical patients.
