PERFORMANSI DESTILATOR MENGHASILKAN ASAP CAIR DARI LIMBAH BIOMASSA PERTANIAN
This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the distillation process in producing liquid smoke from two types of raw materials: mushroom baglogs and coconut shells, using various volume variations. The parameters analyzed included distillation temperature, liquid smoke pH, processing time, fuel consumption (LPG gas cylinders), and the efficiency of the distillation apparatus. The results showed that the optimal distillation temperature ranged from 70°C to 110°C, depending on the measurement point and the type of material. The pH of the liquid smoke after distillation indicated a relatively high level of acidity, with values ranging from 1.64 to 3.01. The distillation time increased along with the material volume, although the liquid smoke yield remained high and comparable. LPG consumption also rose in line with the material volume, reflecting greater energy requirements. The highest equipment efficiency was recorded at a volume of 10 liters for both mushroom baglogs and coconut shells, with efficiency exceeding 90%. Overall, the findings indicated that the distillation apparatus operated efficiently and consistently in processing organic materials into liquid smoke, making it suitable for small to medium scale production.
