HUBUNGAN PROFIL LIPID TERHADAP KEJADIAN SINDROM KORONER AKUT DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG
Background: Acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is a heart disorder characterized by the sudden decrease of blood supply to the heart due to the narrowing of the coronary blood vessels. Acute coronary syndrome is based on risk factors such as age, gender, and lifestye. An abnormal lipid profile due to an unhealthy lifestyle is also one of the risk factors of acute coronary syndrome. This study aims to determine the correlation between lipid profile and the incidence of acute coronary syndrome in Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang. Methods: This research is an analytical observational research with a cross-sectional study design. The analysis was carried out using univariate and bivariate analysis in order to determine the correlation between lipid profile and the incidence of acute coronary syndrome. Results: Based on the study done on 136 samples, the majority of ACS patients are found to be aged between 50-69 years old and the majority of ACS patients are male. The most commonly found type of ACS is UAP. The results of Chi square test analysis showed a correlation between a low HDL cholesterol level with STEMI type ACS (p=0,019), an elevated LDL cholesterol level with NSTEMI type ACS (p=0,030), and an elevated triglyceride level with STEMI type ACS (p=0,009). Conclusion: There is a correlation between lipid profile and the incidence of acute coronary syndrome at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang.
