PERBANDINGAN SENSOR SLOWFIELD DENGAN PROTOTIPE ROTATING ELECTRIC FIELD MILL UNTUK PENGUKURAN MEDAN STATIS AWAN

Sistem proteksi petir merupakan suatu sistem yang sangat dibutuhkan pada saat ini, mengingat peralatan listrik semakin berkembang dengan pesat. Sistem ini melindungi kita dan peralatan listrik kita dari sambaran langsung maupun sambaran tidak langsung. Maka dari itu diperlukan alat yang bisa digunakan untuk mengukur medan Listrik sebelum adanya sambaran petir yaitu prototipe Rotating electric Field Mill (REFM) dan sensor Slowfield. Proses pengukuran medan statis awan menggunakan sensor Slowfield dan REFM dengan menghubungkan keluaran dari Buffer Slowfield menggunakan kabel koaksial RG58 ke chanel A pada picoscope . Pada buffer disuplai tegangan 12V DC dengan polaritas ganda. Kemudian keluaran REFM dihubungkan ke chanel B. Pada REFM diberikan dua suplai daya 12V DC untuk unit penguat sinyal dan untuk memutar rotor pada REFM. Berdasarkan data sambaran petir yang tercatat pada radius 50 km di stasiun perekaman UNSRI diperoleh data nilai Tegangan puncak (Vm). Nilai tegangan puncak yang terukur oleh sensor Slowfield yaitu 2,669Vm dengan kuat medan listrik 397,0236 V/m dan untuk prototipe REFM nilai tegangan puncak yang terukur yaitu 5,996 V/m dengan nilai kuat medan listrik 289,6618V/m. Berdasarkan data dari hasil perbandingan pengukuran medan statis awan saat terjadi sambaran petir, sensor Slowfield sedikit lebih unggul dibandingkan dengan prototipe REFM. Nilai kuat medan listrik yang diukur oleh sensor Slowfield saat terjadinya sambaran petir adalah 397.0236 V/m sedangkan nilai yang terukur oleh prototipe REFM adalah 289.6618 V/m. Lightning protection systems are crucial in today's context, considering the rapid development of electrical equipment. These systems safeguard us and our electrical equipment from both direct and indirect lightning strikes. Therefore, there is a need for instruments capable of measuring the electric field before lightning strikes, such as the Rotating Electric Field Mill (REFM) prototype and Slowfield sensor. The process involves measuring the static electric field of clouds using the Slowfield sensor and REFM. The output from the Slowfield Buffer is connected via RG58 coaxial cable to channel A of the picoscope. The buffer is supplied with a dual polarity 12V DC voltage. Subsequently, the REFM output is connected to channel B. The REFM receives two 12V DC power supplies: one for signal amplification and another for rotating the rotor. Based on recorded lightning strike data within a 50 km radius at the UNSRI recording station, the Peak Voltage (Vm) values were obtained. The peak voltage value measured by the Slowfield sensor was 2.669 V/m with an electric field strength of 397.0236 V/m, while for the REFM prototype, the measured peak voltage was 5.996 V/m with an electric field strength of 289.6618 V/m. According to the comparison data of static cloud field measurements during lightning strikes, the Slowfield sensor slightly outperformed the REFM prototype. The electric field strength measured by the Slowfield sensor during lightning strikes was 397.0236 V/m, whereas the value measured by the REFM prototype was 289.6618 V/m.
