PERAN SOCIAL CONNECTEDNESS TERHADAP ACADEMIC HELP SEEKING PADA MAHASISWA YANG MENGERJAKAN SKRIPSI
This study aims to determine the role of social connectedness towards academic help seeking in college students who are working on their thesis. The hypothesis of this research is that there is a role for social connectedness toward academic help seeking for college students who are working on their thesis. Participants in this study were 300 college students in Sriwijaya University. The sampling technique used in this study is accidental sampling. This study uses two scales as measuring tools, namely the social connectedness scale which refers to the dimensions of Lee and Robbins (1995), and the academic help seeking scale which refers to the factors of Cheng and Tsai (2011). Data analysis in this study was carried and using a simple regression analysis technique. The results of the regression analysis showed that the data value of R square between social connectedness and academic help seeking was 0,496, the F-value was 293,431, and the significant value was 0,000 (P
