KANDUNGAN Al-dd DAN Fe TANAH PADA TANAMAN JAGUNG MANIS (Zea mays saccharata Strut) SEBAGAI RESPON PEMBERIAN BIOMASA, KOMPOS DAN WET ASH DI ULTISOL
Sustainable agriculture is one of the important solutions in the face of global climate change and increasing food needs. The use of biomass, compost, and wet ash has been a significant research focus in an effort to increase crop productivity, particularly sweet corn crops, in Ultisol. The purpose of this study is to identify changes in the content of Exchangeable Aluminum and Ferrum in Ultisol in sweet corn plants after the application of biomass, compost, and wet ash as organic matter, comparing the results of Exchangeable Aluminum and Ferrum content by sweet corn plants at various levels of biomass, compost, and wet ash application in Ultisol. This research was carried out from November 2023 to April 2024. The location of the research was carried out at the Field Laboratory of the Department of Soil, Sriwijaya University. Field experiment with Group Random Design, 16 treatments and repeated one time, with sweet corn plants as indicator crops. The conclusion obtained from the results of the study is that the dose of Biomass, Compost and Wet Ash treatment which further reduces the value of Exchangeable Aluminum and Ferrum content in this study is in the treatment of 75% compost, 15% biomass, and 10% wet ash with the result of Exchangeable Aluminum content 0.17 me/100gr and Fe 0.08 ppm.
