ANALISIS NILAI KARAKTER DALAM CERITA ANAK BERJENIS FABEL PADA BUKU TEMATIK SISWA KELAS II TEMA 7 KEBERSAMAAN
The aim of this research is to describe the character values in fable-type children's stories found in thematic books for Class II students at elementary school theme 7 togetherness, revised edition 2017. The type of research used is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The data collection technique used in research is documentation. The data in this research are 18 character values, namely: religious, honest, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, national spirit, love of the country, respect for achievements, friendly, love of peace, like to read, environmental care, social care, and responsibility. The data source in this research is the fable story found in the thematic book for Class II SD Tema 7 Kebersamaan students. The results of this research are the frequency of appearance of character values contained in the Class II elementary school student textbooks Theme 7 Togetherness is uneven where the values with the lowest percentage of occurrences, namely religious and discipline, have a percentage of 11% with very poor information, then the values of tolerance, democracy, and responsibility has a percentage of 22% with insufficient information, then the value of honesty, friendship and social care has a percentage of 44% with sufficient information, then the value of love of peace has a percentage of 56% with sufficient information, then the value of curiosity has a percentage of 67% with information good, then the value that has the highest percentage of appearances is hard work with 78% with good information. There are 6 character values that do not appear, namely independence, national spirit, love of the country, respect for achievement, love of reading, and care for the environment. Instilling character values that do not appear can be done by providing examples of good behavior at school by teachers.
