PENGARUH PEMBERIAN AMPAS TEBU DAN PUPUK KANDANG AYAM TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI TANAMAN JAGUNG (Zea mays L.)
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of sugarcane bagasse and chicken manure spread on the soil surface to the growth and yield of corn (Zea mays). This research was conducted at the Experimental Station of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University (3°13'21 "S 104°38'49 "E) Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra from October 2023 to February 2024. This study used a Randomized Blok Design (RBD) consisting of 8 treatments and 3 blocks (replications) then each treatment plot contained 12 crops and 2 crops as sample. The treatments (ratio of Sugarcane Bagasse and Chicken Manure) consists of A (Control) = 0 kg: 0 kg, B = 0 kg: 4 kg, C = 2 kg: 3 kg, D = 4 kg: 2 kg, E = 6 kg: 1 kg, F = 4 kg: 4 kg, G = 6 kg: 6 kg, H = 8 kg: 0 kg. The results showed that application of various treatments of bagasse and chicken manure that were spread on the soil surface had a very significant effect on the variables of plant height, stem diameter, biomass fresh weight, biomass dry weight, diameter of cobs without husks and had a significant effect on the variables of the number of rows of seeds per cob, seed weight per plant, weight of 100 seeds, and weight of cobs per plant. However, the treatment provided was not significant regarding the variables of leaf greenness level, cob weight per plant, cob length without husks, and dry weight of seeds per plot. Treatment that provided the best growth and results was treatment with a dose of 6 kg of bagasse and 6 kg of fertilizer (treatment G).
