IMPLEMENTASI TEKNOLOGI IOT UNTUK PENGELOLAAN PENYIRAMAN TANAMAN TOMAT DENGAN PEMANTAUAN SUHU DAN KELEMBAPAN
Modern agriculture increasingly relies on technology to improve efficiency and productivity, one of which is through the application of the Internet of Things (IoT). This study aims to develop an IoT-based automatic irrigation system for tomato plants with real-time temperature and humidity monitoring. The system is designed using the DS18B20 sensor to measure environmental temperature and humidity, along with the ESP8266 microcontroller module connected to the internet to transmit data to a web-based monitoring platform. Based on the data received, the system will automatically activate or deactivate the water pump according to the predefined humidity threshold. Test results show that the system can operate efficiently in managing irrigation without direct intervention from farmers, while also providing accurate environmental condition information. The implementation of this technology is expected to assist farmers in increasing tomato crop productivity, conserving water usage, and simplifying remote field monitoring.
