The design of a Modern Islamic Boarding School in Sekayu is driven by the limited number of pesantrens, facilities, and infrastructure in Sekayu District, which requires special attention to the tropical climate conditions. The main issue in this design is how to create a modern Islamic boarding school using a tropical architecture approach. The design solution employs the concept of tropical architecture, aiming to create a comfortable dwelling in accordance with the principles of tropical architecture. Applying these principles is expected to enhance user comfort within the building while minimizing excessive electricity use. The resulting design focuses not only on aesthetics but also on functionality and energy efficiency, making the modern Islamic boarding school in Sekayu an ideal residential model in a tropical climate.
