PESAN POST-FEMINISME DALAM SERIAL MUSIKAL NURBAYA (ANALISIS SEMIOTIKA ROLAND BARTHES)
The Nurbaya musical series is a dramatic work presented in a virtual format that merges the concepts of performing arts and cinema (theatrical-cinematic). uploaded on the Indonesia Kaya YouTube channel. Post-feminism is a cultural critique of feminism popularized by mass media It deconstructs the fundamental feminist concept of "equality" into "difference," asserting that women can have meaning through themselves, not through others' interpretations. This research aims to analyze post-feminism messages within the Nurbaya musical series. The research uses a qualitative method with a semiotic analysis approach based on Roland Barthes, consisting of two orders of signification, including denotation, connotation, and myth. The post-feminism messages in the Nurbaya musical series are depicted through the visuals and dialogues of the female characters involved The result of this study indicate that the post-feminism messages in the Nurbaya musical series include the positioning of subjects illustrated through the characters and dialogues of Nurbaya and Isabella, the critical attitude and skepticism of Nurbaya regarding the ethical relations between women and men, represented by the relationship between Nurbaya and Samsul, and the mtroduction of a new discourse emphasizing diversity, where gender differences should be accepted and respected, alongside individualism, where women are free to express themselves Keywords: Musical Drama, Post-feminism, Semiotics, Youtube
