GAMBARAN TINGKAT KEPARAHAN STEMI DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG PERIODE JANUARI - DESEMBER 2024
Background: STEMI is an acute condition caused by obstruction of blood flow to the heart, leading to cardiomyocyte necrosis. This process begins with the formation of atherosclerotic plaques that cause total occlusion of the coronary artery lumen, resulting in myocardial ischemia. When transmural ischemia lasts for 20–40 minutes, cardiomyocyte necrosis occurs. Methods: This study aimed to describe the severity profile of STEMI at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang during the 2024 period. This descriptive study used secondary data from medical records with a total sampling technique. The total sample consisted of 500 patients who met the inclusion criteria. Results: STEMI patients were more frequently observed in those under 60 years of age (59.2%), male (78.0%), with high school education (74.6%), and with hypertension as a risk factor (56.2%). The most common high-risk lipid profile was LDL (35.4%). ST elevation in three leads (66.4%), anterior infarct location (58.6%), troponin T levels > 100–2000 ng/L (31.4%), ejection fraction ≥ 50% (20.6%), and Killip class 1 (42.0%) were also observed. Conclusion: STEMI patients at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang during the 2024 period were predominantly under 60 years of age, male, with a high school education, and had hypertension as a risk factor. The high-risk lipid profile was primarily elevated LDL, with ST elevation in three leads, anterior infarct location, troponin T > 100–2000 ng/L, ejection fraction ≥ 50%, and Killip class 1.
